Too good to be trooo ..

We broke up in the summer,
I thought l'd be alone.
It didn't matter who arrived
I wouldn't take them home.
The thought of spending time with someone
other than my ex
had caused my heart to jump about,
all thumping in my chest.

Now Christmas time is popping by,
a day of love and cheer.
We had a gorgeous time before this happened,
way last year.
I loved someone so deeply,
made my soul soar to the sky,
eventually he said that nasty, awful word 'goodbye'.

But oh my word, what's going on?
Helloooo, you, the bouncy one!
Full of happy, sunny acts,
nothing phases, no dark cracks.
We seem to have such joy and fun,
It's time to move my life along ..
