How wonderful the feeling of being in a place
Where you sit up close and look into his face
To soak in those eyes and teeth and skin

I love the wry humour in your pieces, denni. Never nasty, just poking fun at the establishment, and life in general. Not in this one of course, where the girl is waiting for her date. This is a lovely little cameo and I particularly liked the phrase: ‘I feel aw Leeds United…’ Without totally understanding it, I kind of caught the feeling and the mood if you know what I mean. I like the simplicity in your writing, and unlike so many ‘writers’ (me included) you are never pretentious. Much enjoyed. Trev
