It's four fifteen
My weary eyes now open wide
Its not my eyes
But it's my ears that come alive
The sound of birdsong
Fills my room with sheer delight
A pleasant sign
That new day has come from night.
A nicer sound
Would be impossible for me
A sound so joyous
It translates to "I am free"
Be it Thrush or Finch
Or Blackbird, I don't care
I pray this sound will
Stay forever in the air.
Isn't it joy
To hear pure nature at it's best
My day can start now
With a feeling, I've been blessed
Gods alarm call
Puts my spirit into flight
A smile upon my face
My day will turn out right.

Cheerful, and nicely
Cheerful, and nicely flowing. I so easily don't listen out for all the pleasant sounds, but the wind in the trees, or the waves at the cliffs really freshen up my mind. Rhiannon

I quite agree Edenfalls- I
I quite agree Edenfalls- I live for the Blackbird in Spring and Summer- my day really comes alive when I hear it singing from the rooftop. Such a beautiful poem that really speaks to my heart.

Hello Edenfalls, God's alarm
Hello Edenfalls,
God's alarm has woken me a few times but it has given me the opportunity to catch up on a few peoples work.
I really liked this poem...its style but particularly its content!
Much enjoyed
