I wanted to write a story about a recent rejection, but it turned into a song. And since songs are better sung then read. I thought I'd sing it. Or try sing it, anyway. I had to take refuge in the bedroom because everyone else was down stairs watching the season premiere of The Walking Dead. But I was in the mood to do this. And I thought I better do it while I had the nerve. I have a severe case of stage fright most times. But I managed to get through it without mucking it up too much. So please bare with me while I have a moment out of my box.

The tune is borrowed from a traditional folk song called Goin' Down the Road Feelin' Bad.

That is the saddest song I've ever heard, and I almost felt guily for enjoying it so much.

Why, thank you, elsie. And am glad you thought the guitar playing was all right. I have some hearing lose in my right ear and some times it's hard to tell if it's coming across ok.

Hi Richard...big yes from me.  I so admire anyone who has the courage to sing and play a guitar at the same time,  it's not easy.  I loved the Country and Western feel you gave to this song and could imagine listening to you round a camp fire.  Good on you for having a go.  Jenny.

Hello Rich,

I think whoever rejected your story is a suitable case for treatment.  I hope it wasn't a Craven story 'cos if it was I might just  have to send 'em one of mine just to show them what crap looks like.  Loved it but love Craven even more.

Thank you for the book Rich it was such a lovely surprise.  It arrived on Saturday but you really shouldn't have done it.  I can wait for Craven.

Thank you, dear Moya. I just wanted to show my appreciation for your kindness.. I'm a big fan of desk reference books. So I thought I'd share one of my favorites. No, it wasnt a Craven story. I'm still doing a draft on those pieces. it was a piece called, The Ghosts of Marylebone Station. I posted it here over a year ago. it's one of my favorites, so I did a draft and sent it out. No go. But I shall try again.

To me you are no longer Rich or Hudsonmoon. You're Dylan! I loved it Rich, sorry Dylan, I've been rejected more times than a drunk at a wedding but always keep going! This made me realise I'm not alone...

Thank you, Joe. I hope it's the younger Dylan, lol. I'm kinda used to the rejections, myself. But if you love what you do, you keep doing it. And, as always,  it's great to have such a forum as this. Thanks for the encouragement. I may have to hit the road. Guitar on back. Thumb out.

Many thanks, mrskatehowell. I rarely do thatsort of thing in front of a camera. I'm like a deer in the headlights. But when the mood strikes I go for it. lol. I've had a terrible cold the last couple of days, so I sound a bit scratchy.
