I thought about strange places
And decided there are none so strange
As places in the mind
There are fun places, scary places,
Historical places, romantic places,
Busy places, solitary places
The list can go on ad nauseam

But are they strange?
Only if we perceive them as so
It is when we retreat
Into our minds that we may find strange
Airy fairy fantasy
Upside down worlds of mythical creatures
Twisted mental images, dark thoughts
Deep forbidden images
Where the mundane becomes the macabre

So, welcome to my strange place,
Where tales of fright and horror
Fun and fantasy
Mingle and cavort
