Even if life is rough
I'm happy because
hearing Edith Piaf
sing La vie en rose
brings back the past

A time that for me
was always magic
prompting me 
to be quite nostalgic.
Pity, it's gone too fast.

I wish to meander
down memory lane
and recall the wonder
of those days again
that is unsurpassed.

To relive the moments
that brought us joy
which no disagreements
can ever destroy
and will last and last.

How that special music can awaken those memories, is to be treasured. I can tell by your words that this piece must mean so much to you. A stirring poem most definitely Luigi.

Thank you, Jenny, for your kind assessment. I feel that music, in general, can generate nostalgic feelings and certain songs remind us of particular events in our life. La vie en rose had the effect of making me recall how in our younger days we used to see life through rose-tinted glasses and remembering the artistry of the French little sparrow, Edith Piaf.
