Out Of the Blue (Rimas Dissolutas)

I wasn't expecting it, 'twas a bolt out of the blue.
One moment I was here and the next time I was
somewhere abroad – afloat - suspended in space;
my brain was addled and I lacked lucidity
I felt like a boxer, punch-drunk, on the ropes.
Quick help was at hand; I luckily came through.
Two skilled paramedics are deserving of applause;
I was soon transported to a specialist place
where the medical staff showed remarkable ability
and care to help me get better and give me fresh hopes.
I keep my fingers crossed but I feel as good as new.
I am keen to resume writing and that is because
I am afraid I might get rusty and I wish to retrace
my linguistic proficiency and rhyming fluidity
so that more cherished cherries are within my scope.

Dear Luigi,
Dear Luigi,
you have had this experience of a stroke and come back to tell the tale, it proves you are an important part of life. Your love for writing is such a great art and I hope you continue to share with us your poems and prose.
You take care and don't go over doing things. I hope your guardian angel watches over you always.
Best wishes.
Jenny. xx

I had forgotten about that
I had forgotten about that interesting poetic form idea. I think we investigated it in a poetry monthly some time ago? A different sort-of challenge.
Glad to hear of your recovery. There's a better way than crossed fingers to hope, though! Rhiannon

Luigi I haven't had such
Luigi I haven't had such a near-death experience but I've had many out-of-body experiences, really I wonder why so many people's stories are essentialy the same. Could it be . .. . it is for Real!
