Attitude brusque,

He arrives dishevelled,

Why the hell us?

His birthday forthwith,

The arsenic is out,

No family about.

Dinner ennui,

Arsenic available,

Is he ever going to

Leave the table.

Equanimity?

Or passive aversion?

I decant the shiraz,

Would arsenic hurt him?

An infinitesimal amount

May pre-empt diarrhea.
