I asked for just one miracle

My eyes were raised above

I asked if it was possible

To find someone to love

I promised to be patient

Promised not to push and shove

I asked for just one miracle

To fit me like a glove

Presented with a miracle

From famine to a fest

I took this revelation

And I clasped it to my breast

When on the edge of ruin

I had found myself quite blessed

Presented with a miracle

Who came to my behest ?

I've now received my miracle

No curse will ever mar

My voice was just a whisper

But I guess it traveled far

I needed a companion

Now before me, here you are

I've now received my miracle

My wish upon a star
