drifting dreams

you o' you as fine
as silk silk silk soft as silk
so are you you as satin
butterfly wings
feathers and down
softly you soft are you
~
shady streams drifting dreams
tender as gentle sunlight
lazy leaves flutter the breeze
shadows and patches dreamy sun
yellow fields waves of wind
willows bend and dance
cool the shade
green is the grass
thorn tree branches
groan and moan
~
tumbling waters rush and drone
water falls falls and falls
rumbling like thunder clear water
pure shining waters cascades cold
misty fresh the breeze
softly easy gentle flow
soft delicate glassy gleam
whispers of murmur songs
floating white as wool
drifting white foam dreams
~
fresh cool the breeze and drizzle
drift sweet smell of wet grass
soft are you oh you are
soft as rustle and rushing reeds
delicate fleece clouds glide
streams dreaming freely
mirror clean as rain and ice
freedom and peace and sun
~
you are my home my hearth
my fireside my warmth
it is your gentle soft caress
softly brush caring touch
my heart for yours will steal
you as silk are dove's feathers
white and soft my comfort
softer than snow soft as shadow

What an amazingly poem Nolan.
What an amazingly poem Nolan. You've captured the imagination and taken all the love of nature into this most beautiful read. Every stanza shows a loving spirit.
Very much enjoyed reading and thank you so much for sharing.
Jenny.

Have read this several times
Have read this several times and each time something new stands out. I really like your descriptions of water in this, Nolan, both in its moving with how you repeat " fall" and with the beautiful sounds, as in "glassy gleam" and " cascades cold/misty fresh the breeze"

I remember reading this a while back. Liked it then, like it now. Flows very nicely and the words lend it a gentleness. Lovely stuff. Paul
