Iberia awaits

Me and a touch-screen phone.
Lying in the dark, going nowhere, feeling nothing but the sweat on my skin and the weight of another day pressing in.
Still another hour until the alarm sounds and routine begins.
The wind woke me around half-four. My throat dry and sore - succumbing to tiredness and cold, and the almost endless darkness of these days.
I dream of Spain.
If I can drag myself through one more day and night I'll be away to Cordoba.
The echo of the word triggers guitars, and rhythms carried by gypsy feet from the East.
It conjures lost Spanish nights and voices of friends not heard since the infancy of a summer half forgotten.
Before next summer's end I have to break the bonds, wean myself from the tit of this comfortable life and cast my luck into an unknown sea.
That, or drown in familiar waters.

SO exciting!!!
Go for it!
When I left S.A. for Taiwan it felt insane, the journey threw me, grew me, returned me so different, so much learning, such a privilege.

Yes Sir!
I was 21, decided to go in reply to a newspaper advert and 3 weeks later - whooosh - new country, new language, earthquakes, typhoons, strange looking people, strange food... man I was mad :-)
Got back from that insanity and realised that I could pretty much face anything that was coming my way in life because I'd survived that experience.
The next long-term one was S.A. to London https://novel1eishlondon.wordpress.com/chapter-one-march-2009/
Funny thing is, pretty much 3 of the 4 times I've left home all turned out 'badly', but BOY do I have INCREDIBLE stories to tell - there is no cocktail party I can't handle - heh heh... and each time I returned home... you always have a ticket back, and you can always leave again :-)
Just go for it Parson, just go, the rest will turn out as it does, and end as it does and then another thing will begin.
Blessings

There's no 'wrong' answer :-)
Life is always swirling around in my head ;-)
Sounds like a great trip you are on. Enjoy it.
Whenever I've gone somewhere there's been an instinct within me, a knowing that I must... if the knowing isn't there then cruise mode is. You'll do what you do and it will be, such is life.
Keep well & travel safe $
