Sweet river

Sweet river, running by
Carrying away the sky
Time’s escaping with you
No amount of weeping
Will convince you to turn back
You wear your placid face
And leave the breeze
To stroke the tears from my cheek
Your fluvial contingency
Reminds me that it’s always time
To think about returning home
Like your own restless waters
This traveller is never truly free

Time in motion with a river,
Time in motion with a river, reminding, what a wonderful idea. :)

The movement of the river,
The movement of the river, swift and forward like time it does not change its course. No, sadly, we can never go back to what was- but we can hold the memory forever in our hearts of those who have taken the rivers ride away from us. I loved this poem- I can feel solitude and sorrow sitting by that river and just watching it flow. If this is from deep feelings, they are definitely coming to light in your imagery and I hope are healing in their composition.
Time never turns back, its friendship to us is in its passing, further along its minutes are marching onward to acceptance and healing.
