Why is it
when others are around,
that you are nice,
thoughtful,
intelligent?
Why do others see you
as somebody wonderful,
amazing,
great?
Why is it then
when we are alone,
that you become fierce,
violent,
hurtful?
Why do you change from
one who is great,
to one who is evil,
scalding,
nasty?
And why does it hurt to be with you,
and hurt even more when you are not there?

Very thought provoking poem.
Very thought provoking poem. I think a lot of people can relate to this sort of behavior, unfortunately.

I really like this and a lot of people, I feel, will identify.
Not sure that you need three question marks at the end of each stanza; I think that one at the end would do and the two previous replaced with commas - likewise in the middle of the stanzas.
Simple, true and effective!
Chris ;)
