A Pledge
Hey, eight billion on earth the population!
Let us take a pledge in unison
that each of us will plant saplings, two
and nurture them to grow as trees, new.
Hey, heads of each nation!
washout the least hesitation
frame suitable rules and regulation
to punish the culprit for damaging a tree
and pa with an incentive when afforestation we see..
to stop deforestation,
to prevent ecological degradation.
Hey men in chairs to run a government
For the loss to forestry, make amendment.
Hey town planners and architects!
Please ensure the existing plants your deed protects.
Hey men rustic or urbanite
hey man in chain or man free
hey rich or pauper
planner or builder!
Ensure growth of forestry wealth
for better climatic health
while developing each city and town
least of the trees we cut down
all loopholes we must take care
every tree we must spare
And if it is a must
an alternative is to be focused
uproot the grown-up tree with care
and plant it and see it grow fair.
City planner to pay raft attention
coexist trees and tall mansion
a substantial amount of the budget of a nation
for the growth of forestry should be your contribution.
Death or damage to one tree's well-grown
should be judged as a human death by a nation.
In our curricula and law propagation
Forest should occupy key position
in our daily prayer tree and forestry should find a place
through flora and fauna, man should seek the Lord’s grace.
Deforestation is a main cause of ecological degradation
A pledge to plant trees is a right way in this direction.
