A Magnificant Gift

A Magnificent Gift

this stillness of morning. Flowers

yet thrust as colourful

blossoms within their stockade

of space, the wind ruffling

feathery limbs, branches upraised

in shivers of praise, the

wind chimes leaking melodious

decibels across our farm, and

the sheep, ever watchful from

statuesque alerts –

patient for the Keeper of the pens

to be aroused

from night-time sleep.
