Come Dance With Me
The sunlight penetrated the morning mist like one thousand arrows released from unseen archers. As the shafts of light moved across the pond to from East to West there was a murmur from the water. “ Come Dance With Me”.
Soon the fog melted off as the rays of light burned through. The wind picked up and the little ripples on the water glistened in the light as it reflected off the surface. The water responded with “ Come Dance With Me”.
Dragonflies started to move from place to place over the aqua water dipping down occasionally to quench their thirst. Flapping their wings to the beat of an unsung song when the water spoke “ Come Dance With Me”.
At the side of the inlet a mighty willow tree dipped down its branches in the gentle breeze skimming across the water with moistened leaves as the water filled the air with “ Come Dance With Me”.
Soon the sun rose directly overhead as the sound of children rushed to the end of the pier, and jumping into the water splashing and squealing they missed the water whisper “ Come Dance With Me”.
As the afternoon sun sank slowly in the West fish soon started to jump up into the air sending rings of rippling water in all directions almost drowning out the sound of
“ Come Dance With Me”.
As the light of day vaporized into twilight small fireflies moved across the water with tiny beacons of light flashing on and off like miniature light houses warning of danger as darkness covered the pond with a thick blanket of damp air to the soft sound of
“ Come Dance With Me”.
There in the pitch-black night air the sound of frogs singing their deep guttural song covered the water breathing out a sigh “ Come Dance With Me”.
Soon even the frogs grew quiet as the water splashed against the moorings of the pier with the rhythmic sound of “ Come Dance With Me”.
