Depression
How can someone just walk away?
I never understood how anyone could just get up one-day walk out the door, and disappear.
I am starting to understand how, now that I am getting older. Life is just too short to keep yourself in a position where you are not satisfied.
Everyone has the right to be happy, and if you are not, you need to change, even if that means starting all over again.
I would imagine that family and friends keep you going to a point. It is extremely difficult to leave the ones you love.
Unseen pressures from taking on major projects that take years to complete can add to the unhappiness when you think you might not be around to see them finished.
Years of having your jobs dissolve start eating away at your ability to earn a decent wage also add to the pressure, until one day you look at your dried up brown grass, and even the green weeds on the other side of the fence start to look better.
You convince yourself there is a better life out there for you, so you open the door and walk out with no plan, just the relief of knowing you do not have to water the brown grass anymore.
Sometimes depression can make even a bad decision look good.
