The Ticklish Whale
By shades
- 2409 reads
It was an average day when the men of the bay,
Boarded their boats to set sail,
But the harbour mouth where the boats sailed out,
Was blocked by a sleeping blue whale.
The men were confused and kind of bemused,
So they beached their boats on the sand,
And watched the great whale flapping its tail,
As they pondered the problem in hand.
I know what to do said one of the crew.
You’ll laugh but believe it or not,
Just on top of the tail of every blue whale,
Is a surprisingly ticklish spot.
So the men sailed close to the sleeping whales nose,
And with all the strength they could muster,
They tickled the whale on his ticklish tail,
With an oversized red feather duster.
That blue whale giggled, he shuddered and wriggled,
Then he rolled around laughing with glee,
And with one huge splash he was gone in a flash,
Chuckling his way out to sea.
