Death of a Music Hero

This is a rewrite of a piece I wrote quite a few years ago.
Such wonderful lines from some brilliant music of his.
I decided to put it back up in remembrance of David Bowie
a great music icon who died on January 10th 2016.
Ziggy played guitar,
Ziggy went so far
lost his way...couldn't
get back again.
Spiders from Mars
wanted him to stay,
he said: “Our love is strong,
but is too young.”
So he sang: “Let's get back to
Suffragette City.”
But they said: “Hey Man
don't you be so unkind,
just get back here.”
He said: “Don't lean on me man,
she's so fine, she has a white light,
that's gonna drive me outta my mind.
A white heat that's gonna burn my very soul,
that white light feels so right, here she comes,
here she comes.”
Time takes a cigarette,
puts it in your mouth
you're a rock n roll suicide,
the clock waits...you live too long,
you're a rock n roll suicide.
Don't let the sunlight cast a shadow.
“Oh no love you're not alone,
no matter how you feel
you're not alone,
give me your hand
cause you're wonderful.”
R.I.P. David.

Hi Jenny
Hi Jenny
You did a good job taking his relevent lyrics and putting them together to make this piece. It is a fitting tribute.
