St Ives Bay

Trace my steps along St Ives cobbles,
ice cream parlour's by the bowlfuls...
along seafront there's gift shops many
that's where I'd spend my every penny,
the harbour where boats come in,
those seagulls creating such a din...
eating fish and chips upon the wall
those clever birds cry out for more,
and in the cool evening at day's end
sun goes down for food we wend,
discovering restaurant in the bay
to feast upon fresh fish of the day,
much later on the ale house calls us,
come! Be merry we're filled to bust...
down your ciders – pull up a chair,
pub's full, but there's space to spare,
merrily sauntering back to our hotel room,
up high in the clear sky we see a full moon,
it's been an interesting and fun eventful day,
as we went wandering around St Ives bay.

You brought the summer
You brought the summer relaxing day there in the warmth to life! One small point, I think daybreak refers to the beginning of the day, not the close. Don't know if you disagree, or might want to change it, but it would affect the rhyming wouldn't it? ('Day's end' could rhyme with 'homeward wend' or something like!!??)

Hi Jenny
Hi Jenny
This is a light and cheerful look at a happy holiday. I haven't even been to St Ives, but you made it sound very attractive.
