There’s too much trouble in the world

Nobody whispers everybody shouts

Tempers are short anger is normal

Hatred leads by example

Ignorance is formal

Contemptuousness reaps applause

Lies lay waiting to pounce

To prove truth has lost its way

Technology is narcissistic

Flourishing in decay

Democracy was once a beacon

Debate was the unwritten rule

Enlightenment was an unlocked door

Social media came armed to the teeth

Now the whole world is at war

Take me back take me back

To a childhood of ignorant bliss

Take me back take me back

To collect all the things that I miss.
