The Calico Cat

The Calico cat jumped up from her mat
and, yawning, she looked all around
then she put on her beautiful calico hat
and her bright little calico gown.

Then the calico cat went out for a walk,
‘cause it was quite a calico day
and the calico cat said in calico talk,
“What calico games shall I play?”

Then she played ‘Chase the mouse’
and she played ‘Climb the tree’
then went back to her house
‘cause it was time for tea.

She ate Calico pie
made with calico cream,
then, lying down, shut her eyes
and dreamed calico dreams.
