The Girl And The Firefly

There was a little girl called Rose;
a firefly flew up her nose.
Her eyes glowed like a lantern does
as round about her brain it buzzed
then, briefly, it became a dream;
within her mind, a mental gleam
but then it had a bright idea
and flew back outward through her ear.
