Merry Spring Rhymes

Spring Rhyme

The white snow that pelts down
Tomorrow will melt down
then spring times green felt gown
will clothe everything.

Snowdrops will start pushing
up heads like milk gushing
and rosebuds start blushing
bright colours for the Spring.

February

How many days must we wait
till Spring time bright and merry?
Now it’s only twenty-eight,
the days of February.

Gabriel Blackbird

Out of the blackbird’s beak,
I hear an angel speak;
a Gabriel announcing
the bouncing baby of Spring.

Soon daffodils will grow
like trumpets angels blow
and birds, a cheery hymn, will sing
for the sweet cherubim of Spring.

under white Winter’s cover.
Go out and take a proper look.
There’s lots you will discover.

So many things that will surprise
those who think Nature’s duller
like birds and bees and butterflies
with wings of many colours.
