The Santa of the Summer

With glowing golden face, jolly and round

and ho-ho-ho of happy birdsong sound

and long white beard of snowy sunlit clouds;

his children all the suntanned summer crowds;

even a sunset of santa-suit red

he wears as he climbs down from overhead

bringing the gift of dawn to everyone,

the Santa of the Summer is the sun.
