"But how did you know I was a Warp Warrior?", asked Raider, "What made you so certain?".
Zophos reached under his robes and took out a strange cylindrical device that had a bright green glow.
"This", said Zophos, "An omni-tool. It always glows green in the presence of a true Warp warrior and red in the presence of his enemies. It gave off a green glow the first time I bumped into you in the market place and so I knew that I had bumped into a warp warrior".
"What is an omni-tool?", asked Raider, looking at the device with curiosity.
Stretching out the arm holding the tool, Zophos closed his eyes and concentrated and then, to the boys wonderment, Raider saw the tool transform itself into the form of a battle axe; a sword and then a starpistol.
"You have to visualize the form you wish it to take in your mind", said Zophos, "Then the omni-tool will alter its molecular structure to whatever you think of; any weapon that a warp warrior needs".
But then, returning the omni-tool, with a thought, to its original, cylindrical form he handed it to Raider.
"The ancient warriors won many great battles with those", he said, "Try it".
Raider stood up and, stretching out his hand and closing his eyes, thought of a sword and, when he opened them again a sword was in his hand.
"I did it", said Raider smiling, "With just my mind".
But then Raider saw the glow emanating from the hilt of the sword change from a green colour to a bright red.
"What does that mean?", asked Raider, worried.
"It means that one of Vorgia's soldiers must be nearby", said Zophos looking round about.
"Like the Varlak you programmed?", asked Raider.
"No. That wouldn't turn the omni-tool red", said Zophos, "This one is the real thing. Possibly a Dimensionoid spy. That woman has eyes everywhere".
"Dimensionoid?", asked Raider.
"A robot capable of altering its dimensions. They're able to hide anywhere. Thats why the Dictatrix uses them as spies", explained Zophos.
But then, looking round about suddenly Zophos froze as he noticed something odd about the photograph on his wall.
"It was a family picture. A picture of his mother and his father and his sister Mercia during her marriage ceremony but there was someone else in the photograph that had never been there before; that shouldn't have been there; a strange grinning man dressed in a black, hooded uniform and then, the figures eyes turning to look into Zophos's, suddenly it drew its sword and running forwards leapt out of the photograph, growing to full height as, first its sword and then its whole body burst from a flat image into 3 dimensions.
"So you are the warp warrior", it said to Raider as, tumbling out of the picture it landed on its feet, "Well you're not going to warp your way out of this".
But then, lunging forwards with the sword, the dimensionoid brought it down towards Raiders head.
Fortunately, just as the dimensionoids blade was inches from slicing him in two, the omni-tool in Raiders hand instantly transformed itself into a sword and raising it, he blocked the assasins blow.
"What do I do now?", he asked Zophos as he struggled to fend off the Dimensionoids frenzied attacks.
"Hmm? I'm not sure", said Zophos, stroking his pointed beard in thought.
"What do you mean you're not sure?", asked Raider, panicking.
"Well there are stories in the legends of Warp Warriors defeating dimensionoids but the details are very vague", said Zophos.
"Just tell me", said Raider, blocking another blow.
"Well the legends say that the Dimensionoid, assuming its 4-dimensional form, split itself into many copies of itself and surrounded the warp warrior on all sides", said Zophos.
"Like this", said the Dimensionoid, laughing and its laughter becoming a chorus as suddenly, identical versions of it appeared all around them, each one wielding a sword.
"Then what?", asked Raider, despairing as, turning, he saw the grinning Dimensionoid on all sides.
"Well then the young warp warrior, seeing the Dimensionoid in this 4 dimensional form", said Zophos, "Remembered what the 4th dimension is".
Raider, looked confused at first, but then, thinking back to his 4th grade astrophysics lessons and remembering his old robot teacher drawing a 4 dimensional cube on his digital blackboard, he smiled.
And then, closing his eyes and focusing his mind, he heard the sound of a dozen dimensionoids screaming as, warping the 4th dimension; the dimension of time he ripped them all to pieces.
"I don't believe it", he said, opening his eyes again and looking round about him but seeing only the old man, " I did it".
"Yes", said Zophos, "But that was only our first battle".
Zophos reached under his robes and took out a strange cylindrical device that had a bright green glow.
