Love and App-iness

Ella considers pretending to talk into her phone while secretly taking a picture of the man who closely resembles the man of her dreams. She’d do it by imitating one of those women who use their mobile phone screens as compact mirrors; touch up her lipstick and eyeliner while taking the picture. Then she’d lower the phone and find him staring at her fast-food beauty.
The tube carriage bounces around violently. She abandons the idea for fear of drawing cartoon eyebrows and making an arse of herself.
Suddenly, she decides, Screw it! She brings the phone up to her face and purses her lips. She zooms in by enhancing the lens with her fingertips. Up close, he looks clean, though unsmiling; has his head down in a copy of the Metro.
Just this one time, she reassures herself, loading the new App-iness app and pressing: Take image.

App-enis, sorry, App-iness.
App-enis, sorry, App-iness. What a great app. This is such a lovely story with some killer lines, most notably 'She abandons the idea for fear of drawing cartoon eyebrows' and 'Her heart takes a side swipe at her rib cage'. You write with such a distinctive style and the dialogue of scary information from the IT guy is really well laid out. Even I understood what he was whittling on about.
Someone put me onto your work and I'm damn glad she did.
