Caught up in a web

Soon I shall die. I wait here with uncontrollable anxiety as my upcoming death looms upon my terrified, trembling, soon-to-be carcass.
I know what you are thinking, but please - don't feel sorry for me. After all, it is down to my own mindless foolery that I got caught up in this dilema.
It was a supposed normal day. I woke up and reluctantly opened my weighty eyes, filled with sticky evidence of the previous days exertions, and prepared for my routine quest to find a delicious flower for breakfast.
After a lifetime of uneventful flying, I saw it. The flower of my dreams. A rare beauty. The sun shone brightly on the radiant azure petals, gleaming with splendour. Pollen oozed from its dainty head, tempting me further in. I seized my chance and went in for the kill.
When I had feasted on my sumptuous treat, I set off back home. I passed the familiar bushes and briars and observed the wildlife around me, going about their own business.
I hummed a meaningless tune as I buzzed along, unaware of the peril I was soon to endure.
In my glazed over trance, I took a fateful wrong turning into a desolate, unwelcoming street. startled by this unfamiliar scene, I cautiously retreated.
Suddenly I was grabbed and captured, stuck in a colossal web of sturdy string. I recklessly squirmed and struggled, desperate to break free from the impossible maze. there was no hope. This act of cunning cruelty had me bamboozled!
So, here I am. Soon I shall die. I wait here with uncontrollable anxiety as my upcoming death looms upon my terrified, trembling, soon-to-be carcass.
I looked up. The evil, eight-legged enemy had returned to capture his prize. I glanced at his numerous eyes, hypnotizing me with his ravenous glare.
He crept forward, his spindly legs wavering. This was the end. Why me? I'm too young to die. Curse the food chain. I deserve better!
My life flashed before my eyes. It didn't take long.
The spider approached within devouring distance. I closed my eyes and hummed the meaningless tune that had played a part in my cruel fate. I reluctantly exhaled my last fearful breath.
Que sera sera
