A man hovers by a hospital bed
Looking for life amongst the dead
A girl stands in a crowded street
With heavy heart she admits defeat
A boy sits amongst the rubble
A shattered dream: a tale of trouble
A woman toils beneath the sun
A life of misery: nowhere to run
An army marching in the street
The sound of guns, clattering feet
A child is injured, a soldier dies
A tangled web of deceit and lies
A country divided. A state of war
A living hell. A closed door.
The man prays by a hospital bed
Seeking the forgiveness of the dead
The girl escapes the crowded street
A single bullet: silent in defeat
The boy shivers amongst the rubble
His family dead: a life of trouble
A woman kneels beneath the sun
Exhausted, spent, her work is done
An army shouting in the street
The sound of mortar, unbearable heat
A child is orphaned, a soldier fires
A tangled web of directives and liars
A country divided. A state of war
A living hell. Another closed door.
