I want to
Meet a woman
That paints
So she can
Splash paint
On my poems
Spontaneously
And I could
Write words
On her paintings
Asymmetrically
Over
Coffee and cigarettes
We could
Discuss
Who is
More influential
In modern art
Apollinaire or Pollock
This woman
The painter
And I
Could compete
To see
Whose love
Is stronger
Or at least
More flexible
Then
In May
Under
Pink sunsets
We could
Pick flowers
And walk
Backwards
In puddles
Of love.

Hmmm, I like the poem very much but can only imagine the competition that would be going on here. Fourth stanza would be key......

...it could all go very very wrong though couldn't it. Taking cynical hat off - lovely daydream kind of poem!

I loved this little gem of a poem!
Perhaps she could paint pictures to illustrate your poems and you could write poetry to accompany her paintings...

Wonderful, almost lateral thinking here, Jose. They do say that 'pictures paint a thousand words' but this poem says it all;-)

This poem is such a delight
This poem is such a delight to read! The concept is fun and the poem manages to take the concept as far as it can go. This is the kind of poem that makes me want to fall in love again, but this time with a painter! hehe
