From out the mire of dreams I crawl,
nightmares left now obscured,
lost beauty feels at last regained,
as softly the harvest of my youth inspires,
a promise of words unwavering – snaking
like the silent ivy twists and turns,
then disentangles revealing the unexpected,
a minds fabrication adding myth to reality,
like Chinese whispers...reality sits in a corner
of the court in my brain – ready to be judged,
waiting to be dispersed...flowing like rivers
of memory, delivering harmony once more.

Lovely use of language, Jennifer. Great rhythm, too, it needs reading out loud.

There's no unwanted words left here and a lot of really effective phrasing. Very much enjoyed Jenny. :)

I like to come back to your poetry Jenny so I read this again and enjoyed it second time around. You describe the transit between dreaming and waking very well and then returning to reality. Not only hypnotic but mesmerizing too.
keep writing
