Standing

Stung in the moment, alone, but for the fly
in my eye, I bellowed inside, and nobody
heard, or noticed my tears fall over the rails
into the rippling stream
beneath my troubled thoughts. Tears are
good, they wash away dirt and wayward pests
that trigger emotions, like wanting - not -
and letting go. I cross each bridge
where hazards are rocks that trip us up
along our journey, and wonder - why
do flies choose eyes when the world
is so wide? Seems no one can answer.
I follow meandering dapples
and shadows, where over the shallows -
the fishing bird flits in the diamonds, streaking
electric tints through my good globe,
whilst the injured party -
indulges itself in pity, forever a-blur
in the disappointment of not having seen
the object of it's downfall in time.

Do some have more susceptible
Do some have more susceptible eyes? My husband certainly does seem to, espeially when cycling, though sunglasses help. But you seem to to tease to the sometimes welcomeness of something that triggers the tears to help more than hurting eyes, and releases the emotions. Flitting back and fore works well, and with the touches of humour and the beauty of the scene (words describing even better than the picture!) Rhiannon

Hi Bee
Hi Bee
To get stung in the eye seems so unnecessary considering all your other problems at the moment. But you take it, describe it, experience it, and make it part of your life pattern. Such a gift you have.

the world is wide, but there
the world is wide, but there's only us in it. Flies know where the sweet stuff is.

Hello again dear Bee,
Hello again dear Bee,
Took me a little while to get this but on second reading thought how could I not get it. Your poetry is always so accessible. Loved it.
Still thinking of you Bee,
Moya
