Again and Again (Poetry Monthly)

The woman who broke windows thrilled
in her addiction to transformation with
that electric surge and pulse
of synaptic transmission - when
with an act of control
she turned one smooth surface
into countless sharp perceptions
they called it a compulsion
but she was enchanted by the clarity
of music in breaking glass
she smashed a world of fenestration
in her demonstration
that transgression can be revelation
made herself the handmaid
of destruction and creation
in expression of thoughts
for which there are no words
more dynamic than a scream
and to that man who said
oh yeah, it’s a sexual thing
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
again and again and
again

Loved the musicality of breaking glass. The smooth to shattered satisfaction.
'made herself the handmaid
of destruction and creation
in expression of thoughts' definitely more dramatic and satisfying than a scream. Interesting to see the man's interpretation.

I must say the flow, the way how you are taken over the peaks, between understanding and acceptance, make this poem realy strong. Great work P.S.

HI Helen
HI Helen
I love your world of fenestration. There is something very satisfying about breaking glass as long as you don't get cut.

Really loved this PS. Also, I learned a new word today: fenestration. Thanks. Never too old to learn. I'll have to use it sometime.
