Divided 

It used to be that the simplicity 
of 1 + 1 = 2 was equal to 
the sum of a new whole -
the answer of me and you.
 
And maybe it started that way
but with the addition of our time and play,
the strength of bond between us 
was more than I could equate.
 
I was never much of a mathematician, 
more of an amateur statistician,
calculating the power of our expanding friendship
that multiplied to an endless infinite.
 
When you left, it wasn't just one removed,
but a subtraction of multiple proportions 
resulting in a substantial division 
to a fraction of what I was.
 
I would sine out but for 2 other coexistent primaries,
(being the radix of my existence). 
The base of which means, while obviously wearing,
I continue skip counting towards the infinite, 
but minus my imperative pairing.

Nice to 'see'/'hear you again. and cleverly twisting your mathematical words around!

Most of what I write now is performance poetry since I started running a Poetry Slam. I keep meaning to do some poetry videos. There is one in particular that I am very proud of which is a nonsense verse performed in Scottish (containing some Scottish words). I had to learn to do the accent especially. I wish I could have performed it for Bee. She would have loved it. I should do the video of it soon.

Probably not meant as litteral just some loose terms words in some kind of coherence. Does sound good!
