A Thumbnail Sketch

I came across a couple of acrostic poems by Laurie Lee and they gave me
the idea for this. Here is an autobiographical sketch which although
it does not reveal my true identity, does spell out one of my
pseudonyms.

I live in a world of make-believe
Among the would-be writers of this site
Making hard work of what I try to achieve.
If only I could get the balance right
Or at least be blessed by the Muse.
No one can imagine how I react
In seeing my creations on the screen.
Comments are welcomed and that’s a fact,
Unless they are very nasty or really mean,
Since my verses are written to amuse.
