O come, O come, Emmanuel,
all people need good news – Noël*
to give life purpose, future clear,
and know his grace and comfort near.
    Rejoice, Emmanuel has come
    – the Light to shine for everyone.

O come, Emmanuel to free
from Satan’s lies and tyranny
with power to save and truth to teach
our guilt and fears your grace can reach.

Israel was taught to wait, prepare
– their God would come, their nature share
as man to teach, in mercy serve  –
bearing the judgement we deserve.

All nations would be called to Him
the wonderful and glorious King,

Beautiful passages from the Bible and espacially the well-known verses in Isaiah. But one must be careful although I do believe the more litteral and common interpritations are the correct, specifically on the Divine Messaiha and the Virgin conception. You have to read very closely.

This could really work very well as lyrics. Sorry about the spelling mistake It's late I'm tired.

Glad you've had rain, and enjoyed it! and glad that you are glad to have it!

It is amazing that people want to imagine all sorts of supernatural possibles, and yet, faced with the simple truth of there being a supernatural Creator who could come as a man, could do miracles (and have a miraculous birth), and could rise from the dead, and did, and be a Judge and Saviour, so many say it can't be, and fight against it.They seem to prefer some complicated idea for which there is no evidence. Satan seems at work to keep people from the simple saving truth of what the real God has done, and receiving that grace of forgiveness and relationship with him. Rhiannon

Well, Christmas is the time of remembering Jesus becoming man to be Saviour, so I thought I'd put them in that collection, in case anyone wants to look up anything else I've written on the subject! Rhiannon
