More Snowdrops ! (hidden away)

Is that a drift of snow peeping over
the top of the bank?
No, a white carpet under
the long lean lithe grey ‘horse-leg’ trunks
– profusion,
lavish spread of ‘Candlemas bells’ ,
‘dingle-dangles’
– remote laneside’s secret scene
seen by so few.

Good morning Rhiannon,
Such a treasure to see so many snowdrops. I just love your metaphor for the trunks of trees too.
I've not seen any snowdrops so far this year, so it was a pleasure to read your poem and gaze at the beautiful photos.
Jenny.

Yes, I have seen quite a few wild snowdrops budding over the last few weeks. Beautiful flowers. Another lovely image captured, Rhiannon. Paul :)

Thankyou so much for sharing
Thankyou so much for sharing this "secret scene"! In your poem and these gorgeous photos, the second one in particular with the low pale light through the trees, and the light on the ground from the snowdrops, is specially wonderful? I like "long lean lithe grey 'horse-leg' trunks" very much. Is so good you found them, there could not be a better person to appreciate such a place

Lovely photos!
Lovely photos! Yes it does look like snow! Or very heavy frost we get lots of that in winter.
See you! Tom
