A Puzzle Unravelled

There once was a puzzle
whose shape was cubic
invented by a Magyar
by the name of Rubik.
As games go,
it wasn't too bad
but trying to solve it
drove many mad.
I got rid of the one
that I had because
I could not see
of what use it was.
I had purchased it
on the spur of the moment
and at first proved to be
a formidable opponent.
But once mastered
it became commonplace
and I soon realised
it was a waste of space.
At last I understood
with crystal clarity
if I could disinventing it
I'd regain my sanity.

I happen to be
I happen to be the Rubik's world champion (a great party trick). Mostly under 1min 10sec but once I managed a round 5.10 seconds will never forget that day. The first time I saw it done I was amazed, shocked, couldn't believe my eyes up to then I'd tried for weeks already. Just like that. The last square fell in place.
But like you say Luigi, after a while becomes just routine. But what is a Magyar? I thought he was polish or something?
"if I could disinventing it I'd regain my sanity". Do you think it could work?
Keep well keep well! Keep in shape you might need it for show off. Tom

I never actually did
I never actually did
I never actually did Luigi I am unofficial world champ. That was until I saw guys on TV doing 5 seconds flat I threw the towel in. I think it is exaggerated there's a guy they claim to be champion a chinese guy his picture is on my cube's box. The record is 4.73 seconds we'll see about that. Who wil win the GREAT CUBE.

I've just read Tom's comment
I've just read Tom's comment and am very impressed that we have the world champion right here on ABCTales! I'm afraid to say my experience with a Rubik cube involved a bin, into which I put it.

I was always bad at solving
I was always bad at solving the Rubik's cube. I could get one or two sides solved but I couldn't solve all six. This is an excellent poem that is greatly written. Keep up the good work.
