Hermit

Angus McNab is a wee hermit crab.
Who lives in the Mull of Kintyre.
Now that Hermit can shift he’s pretty darn swift,
And is known in those parts as the flyer.
But something’s been troubling Angus of late,
And it’s making him sluggish as well.
“It’s this damn sea anemone that’s really been bugging me”.
Said Angus “It’s stuck to my shell”.
Angus was right one dark Scottish night,
The anemone slid on and stuck.
Angus struggled to shift it but just couldn’t lift it.
Poor Angus was clean out of luck.
So Angus decided that where he resided,
Just wasn’t cut out for two.
The real estate boom was now doom and gloom,
But he needed to find something new.
Angus set off that day where many shells lay.
Hoping some hermits were selling.
He’d hired the help of a real estate eel.
To help him to find a new dwelling.
There were shells red and white, all shiny and bright
But his first choice was already clear,
The shell that he’d seen was long and dark green
And bore letters that spelt the word BEER.
Angus fitted so well in his glass bottle shell
He raced around proud and excited
The laws of the sea state that bottles are free
So Angus McNab was delighted.
