Getting married

Imagine getting married,

Hunting for a flowing white lacy dress,

Mum at my elbow, "Slim down, all the gowns are size 16",

Slipping on white shoes,

Feeling giddy,

Too much to plan,

No dad to give me away,

Making an invitation list with all my favourite friends and family,

walking down the aisle,

in a packed church,

I smell the flowers and smile.
