Four sizes too big.
Cheap tracksuit trousers;
Wool socks; a broken heart
Stuffed beneath my pillow.

Let's take delight in life's banality.

Birthday cards and diary dates.
Worn jeans- odd socks- new dress
Band, landscape, sport, political, film posters
Perfect symmetry and magazine declares

"Life! Death! Prizes!"

Biro faded platitudes
Old prescription spectacles
Read, Re-read, Red paper backs

My life is colour, splotched with cream.

Photographs from times gone by
Mismatched earrings, cheap pack of cards

Is this just a gamble?

Lined crumpled paper; CD stacks; ornaments

Noun lists make sense of my life.

I agree with the last line. The way you have the ex's hoodie at the beginning immediately suggests the subject isn't over him. And then, we're into the room. Hmm. RAL xx

Yeah, the ex's hoodie... it's the barrier into my life almost, once you get past that, there's lots more to my life =) ankari x
