I need to get my colour done, the grey bits peaking through.
I place my hair strategically, appointment overdue.
It's like a woman's nightmare when them locks are looking rough.
Calling up the hairdresser, problem sorted soon enough.
Don't ask the price or you will faint.
The cost is so irrelevant ..
Talked into by the girl on desk.
Those products at the till you get.
Although your hair now looks divine.
Wallet is empty, need a wine.
Gulp ..

Really made me smile this, denni1, great rhyming and oh so very true about the nuisance and expense of going to the hairdressers. I do mine at home and get a friend to trim the ends, saves a fortune ;)

Ditto RachelPatricia's
Ditto RachelPatricia's comment - hair dressing prices are extortionate! But the service is usually top notch.
Looking forward to more, denni1.

I used to have jet black
I used to have jet black hair, two years ago I tried to lighten it to a dark brown it took months for the black to be cut out. Now I'm trying to go light brown, if I'm dark brown the grey need colouring every two weeks I literally end up with a white parting. Light brown I can get away with four to six weeks. ... But I now have two tone hair the top eight inches or so are light brown and to hide it I have no choice put to put it back in a hair slide.... but with this interview I'm so tempted to go dark brown again, but if I give in I've wasted the last five months of hair growth and will have to start again because I do need to go lighter because the grey is beating me. I wish the bloody stuff would just go white overnight and have done with it. My dad went from jet black to pure white (though not overnight, I don't think) So getting to your poem, this one REALLY resonated with me and I colour at home.
