It's Ok To Be Sad For A Minute Or Two

I know the sun doesn't
Shine all the time and
The rain can pound so very
Heavy at your worn down
door.
With the winter chill not making
Things easy for your arthritic
Hip, which gets so cold
And sore.
Then there's this time of
Year when you start to think
Of your mother, who can't be
Here any more.
Or when you get annoyed with
Your neighbours, for making noise,
Through thin brick walls.
Then you stop feeling sorry
For yourself, and remember
There are other's far worse off
Than you.

Hi Trish.
Hi Trish.
Your poem had me in tears from the dear title, right through to the concluding thought - it's all so beautifully put. I found it very moving and heartwarming.

With winter chill's not
With winter chill's not making... no apostrophe.
There's other's far worse off...no apostrophe.
Then you.... is this an intentional play on words? If not ... than you.
I think we all feel it more in winter, little niggles that are easy to overlook in summer bog down and hang us in winter. You caputred this very well in this poem. Well thought out and relevant. I enjoyed this, thank you. And keep smiling...spring's a coming.
