War of the Worlds

Put your money in the Moon! Lunar real estate yes and I am buying a plot of land a small farm on the Moon. All my savings, expensive but a good investment for retirement. It can only go up! Get in before the rush! Mars? The long-term view is promising. Could also be very profitable? Just the other day soon! Mars here we come!
Footsteps on Mars bootprints on the moon I've wondered sometimes what you mean by a man “walking on the moon”. Well strictly speaking you cannot. There is no direct contact with your body like when walking barefoot at home. In fact you walk on the soles of your boots and not the lunar surface and ground itself. As in if I was in my seat in the lunar rover, am I the first man sitting on the moon? Just technical I'd say but it bothers. Take your shoes off!
Spiders look horrible especially those big hairy ones like names of rain spiders and wolf spiders. I find them very scary. Strangely those big ones' bite is harmless they're not poisonous. Scorpions also the the little fat ones are worst and cause intense pain whereas the common bee sting is very dangerous if you're allergic.
Insects I've thought seriously that insects are from outer space to colonise earth, well really just to look at them. Really look. They are definitely alien!! The thing obviously is that they are so tiny we don't really see a threat but that exactly is what makes them dangerous all the more. Perhaps in time insects will be rulers of our planet if not already, they certainly are better adapted than us. It will be a real war of the worlds and humans caught snoozing. And there are millions of species even and I haven't heard either of a species becoming extinct.
Insects like ants and termites and bees live as industrious coordinated colonies. They might unbeknown be studying us drawing up their plans for a war of the worlds. They could be hiding and preparing for attack and conquest as in war for Earth while it is us who crawl around busy busy like little ants. Improbable but could be … how would you know?
There is concrete evidence. There is another way of thinking about it, there is already a crisis with bacteria, with antibiotics and other medicines becoming ineffective for treatment. Other germs and bacteria are becoming more and more resistant with mutations especially for instance hospital germs. Many of the medicines have become essentially useless and obsolete. Apparently because of reckless prescription. So who knows? I believe virus replication is very fast. Probably faster than bacteria. How fast maybe? Scary.
Bearing up! Soldiering on!

Well Tom!, some interesting
Well Tom!, some interesting musings, but God created the insects, and some are so beautiful, and very useful in pollination, the food chain etc. They wouldn't have harmed in the creation when first made. Their hard work and collaboration with each other is certainly an example we can follow.
But with all the follies of the human race, the end is in God's timing, when he had planned he would come again and put right things and deal with evil.
Oh, and colonising the moon sounds ginormously expensive, - and not a good climate! Rhiannon

Amusing use of language and
Amusing use of language and some interesting ideas. While NASA is rushing back to the moon in preparation for a new space race with China, and Mars beckons, I'd hold off putting in an offer for non-terrestrial real estate a little while longer!
Insects and their relatives may appear quite alien to us but the evidence of the fossil record and DNA clearly places them on the same tree of life as other animals. However, I believe there are some question marks over the gene pool of octopuses, and viruses are so unlike everything else that they are considered separate from the living world, with some scientists contending that their alien nature indicates an alien origin.

6 very cool paragraphs Tom*
Just a quick comment on 2 of them....
1... I'm buyer = real estate on the moon or Mars (when ever that is)... well... more like options... But its gotta have a view on the earth side, no shady dark side of the moon deals for me... (smile).....
2.... When the holidays are over.... I'm going on a upgrade = seminars course(s) on new respiratory+++, for 1st responders.... (2yrs of C-19 /off season- duty/ kicked our ass & thinned us out)..... point is, to your point, the science on this and what they predict will be the next one.... is; absolutely fascinating*.. as you use the word "alien" in the aforementioned..... in a sense, yes, it looks like that, in discussion, layman wise & joking around....
But you touched a key point most us on Earth don't factor in......- your quote- " So who knows? I believe virus replication is very fast".... I was just reading over the Intro data, white paper snap shots.... the replication math... is_ off_ the_ charts......, like crazy sh/T dude.... Theoretical at this point.... factoring what kind of mutations they're seeing out there..... Not to be an alarmist... RNA science is moving fast adapting with it, and governments aren't sleeping on it.... I'm very optimistic we'll be much better prepared.................. -BUT- my simple point to you = you addressed a very *GooooD Point Tom*......
Cheers Kris
Cheers.............
