Two Birthday Rhymes (Inspired by my birthday, October 4th )

 The Birthday Bird

Here comes the Birthday Bird.
Sing Hip-hip-hip-hooray!
Because, he must have heard
its your birthday today.

He’s got great gifts for you,
sweet treats and games and toys.
Lots of fun things to do,
that he hopes you will enjoy.

The Birthday Cake

Here comes the birthday cake,
upon a silver dish.
Blow all the candles out
and make a birthday wish.

But keep it a secret
or else it won’t come true
and leave some cake for the fairies, please,
‘cause fairies love cake too.

Just an idea - A universal sign meaning “Happy Birthday” (Useful if trying to say Happy Birthday from a distance)

Straighten your left hand and press your curled over right hand against it (keeping the thumb and fingers of your right hand together) so that it looks like an ‘h’ for “happy”.

Now do the same again but, this time, extend the thumb of your right hand so that it touches your left hand and looks like ‘b’ for birthday.
