I loved his short stories too, like "A child's Christmas in Wales" the one I haven't read is a famous radio play "under Milkwood". He died young, shortly before his 40th birthday I think. We are the poorer off for it. A master of the English...

Pitch black cats with smouldering green eyes were assosiated with witchcaft in the old days, that's probably why they are so scary. This one seems harmless enough. Quiet waters better safe than sorry.
