You seem a little jealous?
Would that statement be correct ..
It pops out when you hear the news
of holidays and concerts too.
I sometimes just don't tell you,
if l am doing stuff.
l can't be bothered facing you
when your face is sullen and you look blue.
So stop the envy, case is closed.
Learn to be happy for us rich folk ..

This one touched deeply Denni ... I live with a controlling housemate (who just happens to be my ex partner) I'm going to York this weekend and am dreading telling him because he will make life as difficult as possible for me before and after. Even though it's bugger all to do with him what I do anymore.
I felt every word of this.

Nice denni. Is that a counterpoint or something or have I made that up? It's nice writing for the opposite view but not easy to pull off. Enjoyed.

Hi denni. I have just checked the dictionary. It is generally a musical term, where something is played in opposition to a melody - usually resulting in a pleasing sound. Also, generally, a thing that forms a pleasing or notable contrast to something else.
I think I meant that you wrote this from the standpoint of the other. In the other person's shoes. Maybe empathising, but certainly in the voice of the other person.
Main thing, I suppose, is that I thought you had done it well. It's quite something that you had readers thinking that this was written about yourself. In your voice.
Your wee poems are a pleasure to read. xx
