HUMANITY

Stream in scream
and struggle
push and shovel
hunger, linger longer
squat in squaller, fight
each other in strange
lands as at home.
Babies fail, frail amid
the needs of bigger bodies
clamber. Fist a-hammer
to the sky, tears beg why?
No answer
but the burn
of fire in needy guts -
forever homeless,
friendless, down in endless
hopelessness,
the speechless seekers
of escape.

An awful situation. We can
An awful situation. We can only pray some may be able to provide some calm, some solutions, some compassion. Maybe we won't hear about some positives. Your comment 'fight each other in strange lands as at home.' seems to highlight that human nature is ever the same, and the temptation to anger, selfishness is ever rising its head. Rhiannon

Hi Bee
This is a very strong and powerful statement about the current situation. And how many millions of similar situations over the centuries.
