I know you have your theory of the way that I should be,
You see a diagnosis when you should be seeing me,
I wish that I could tell you all the reasons you are wrong,
But I am not the Dr so my thoughts do not belong.
You had me all worked out from the research that you do,
What you seem to miss is that I research things too,
I research in my hope that the answers I will find,
For you have given up and are leaving me behind.
The notes that you've read lately are really quite unfair,
If you'd look beyond the lies you would find me there,
Instead you look right through me like I'm not in the room,
I bow my head in silence for I see that you assume.
It seems you misinterpret all the things I say and do,
You have your understanding but I have my own too,
I've done a lot of searching and I know deep in my heart,
I will cross the finish line before you even start.

Well, that's telling him/her
Well, that's telling him/her isn't it! Again pressure of time and need to 'tick boxes' gets in the way of common sense, and trying to get to know and understand any other person, I guess. Though to be fair, I think we are all complex people, so I suppose the first thing to do is not assume you fully understand another person. Rhiannon
