If you could follow me around I wonder what you'd see,
I wonder if you would be surprised,
Would I be a reflection of how you think of me,
Or would you think my life has been a lie.
You might see me being silly or hear me sing along,
I'd turn my music up so very loud,
You'd hear me belting out all my favourite songs,
As if I were in concert to a crowd.
You'd see me stuff my face with all my favourite food,
Then hear me complaining "Uggh I'm so fat!!"
I'd rummage through the cupboards to find something good,
Then I would say "Ooooh, I'll have that!"
I wonder what you'd think when you realised that I stay,
Underneath my duvet when I can,
Often you would realise I stay there for days,
Maybe I'm not who you think I am.
You'd see me sliding in my socks from room to room,
Laminated floor is really fun,
You'd maybe catch a glimpse as I looked out at the moon ,
Reflecting on the day that's over and done.
You'd hear me talk to God, praying that he will,
Watch over all the ones I love,
I'd tell Him I am sorry and promise that until,
My dying day I'll thank Him up above.
I wonder if you'd laugh when you hear me chat away,
Checking with myself what I should do,
No doubt you could listen to all the things I say,
I hope that I'm not talking about you!
Maybe it is best that we really cannot see,
The love, laughter and sometimes the fear,
We live in separate worlds and separate they shall be,
Your world there and my world over here.

Sorry, Angela, I seem to have
Sorry, Angela, I seem to have missed reading this one when I saw the next. But glad to read it now. Interesting painting of the ups and downs of life, and private funs, which others may not know about, but they have their ups and downs too. Good when one can share more completely with someone, but then there's that lovely verse about praying, and of course God knows all our ups and downs, and we can take all to him through all of them!
